Using bootmii to install wads




















Make sure the WAD is from a reliable source! Use the WAD manager to get new channels and other stuff. Computer Download the WAD manager and extract the pack to your computer, then copy the apps folder to the SD card, merging it with the existing apps folder. Wii Run the wad manager. Go to the WAD you want to install and press A.

Then follow instructions on the screen. Search this site. WAD Manager. We won't be describing these methods in detail here, read the respective documentation yourself to figure out that part. The new installer has been revamped a bit in comparison to our old installers, and is actually not just an installer for BootMii, but will also allow you to install The Homebrew Channel and DVDX. So if you don't have the Homebrew Channel or DVDx yet, you can use above mentioned exploits and our single all-in-one installer to install everything in one go.

After launching the installer, just follow the instructions on screen and you should be good to go within a minute or two. BootMii Installation BootMii installation is a breeze, if you are already capable of running Homebrew. Navigating BootMii is not possible using a Wii Remote. If the screen stays black and the blue disc drive light is blinking, you are missing the BootMii files on your SD card. Download this zip and extract it to the root of your SD card, then try again.

To restore from a NAND backup on your SD card, you can follow these instructions using RestoreMii the icon with the red arrow, aka the second icon on your left.

This is useful in the unlikely case you brick your Wii.
